Hotel Lutetia Became A Historical Monument 2008-03-13 00:00:00.000 Lutetia Hotel
In January, 2006 the Lutetia hotel was included in the list of historical monuments. The building of the hotel was erected in 1910 by the two most prominent architects of the epoch. The hotel was the first one made in the Art Deco style. Its stained-glass windows, huge staircases, cosy yards, moulding, frescos and the exclusive interior, consisting of original works of art, make the hotel one of its kind.
The grand façade is the creation of the sculptors Leon Binet and Paul Belmondo (the father of the famous actor Jean-Paul Belmondo).
However, the splendid interior and exterior are not the only reason for choosing this hotel. Lutetia is also preferred by many guests due to the fact that at different time it received such VIPs like Andre Gide, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Picasso and Charles de Gaulle.
There are 231 rooms in the hotel, many of which have a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Eight renowned chefs from Europe will have five hours to create masterpieces of cuisine francaise. It's a rare occasion that a non-French Chef gained a victory, but nevertheless the contest is a wonderful chance for the cuisine magicians to show the best they can.
