The area on the right bank of Seine between 19th and 12th Arrondissements is occupied by the Bastille - Nation Quarter. This districts are probably the most busies and populated in the center of Paris. Bastille - Nation Quarter is very different and full of various places of interest. It attracts tourists not only with amazing architecture, but also with great number of museums, galleries, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The number one attraction of the Bastille - Nation Quarter is famous Place de la Bastille. It is the square where the building of Bastille prison stood. It was destroyed during the French Revolution but even in the 21th century millions of tourists come there to feel the spirit of revolution freedom. One more interesting place in Bastille - Nation Quarter is the Cemetery Pere Lachaise. It is the largest and one of the oldest cemeteries in Paris and the most famous cemeteries in the world. Many famous people were buried there, among them Oscar Wilde, Honore de Balzac, Isadora Duncan, Jim Morrison, Camille Pissarro and others. The Bastille - Nation Quartes is full of hotels both huge 5 star properties and small cosy family-running inns. From this area it is easy to reach all main city sightseeings, such as Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
